Nana Street, also known as Soi Sukhumvit 3, is an intersection and neighborhood in Watthana District, Bangkok, Thailand. It is situated at the beginning of Sukhumvit Road in downtown Bangkok.
Nana is a four-ways intersection of Sukhumvit Road, consisting of Soi Sukhumvit 3 (North Nana Alley) and Soi Sukhumvit 4 (South Nana Alley). In the morning, the area sees locals and expats commuting to work via motorbike or BTS Skytrain. There are also various coffee shops where people enjoy their morning coffees.
At night, Nana transforms into a lively nightlife hub with numerous leisure spots, bars, and restaurants. Popular choices include Above Eleven at Fraser Suite Hotel, Bang Bang burgers, Chen Z Homemade Cafe, and Little Fu restaurant at Mercure Hotel.
The name “Nana” comes from Lek Nana, a former Thai-Indian politician and real estate entrepreneur who invested in the area in the 1970s. Nana Nuea was originally bustling with shops and restaurants, while Nana Tai was primarily a residential area. The location is home to Nana BTS station, leading hotels, condominiums, shopping centers, restaurants, pubs, bars, and a diverse community of foreigners, especially Arabs.
