Privacy Policy

This explains what My Thai Love (mythailove.com) collects, what we do with it and who sees it. We don't sell your personal information.

What you give us

• Account: your email address, and your name and email from Google, Facebook or LINE if you sign in with them.
• Profile: display name, gender, who you're looking for, month and year of birth, home country, the city you live in, and your photos and short videos.
• Invites and RSVPs: the places, activities, days and notes you post, and the RSVPs you send or receive.
• Contacts: the LINE ID, WhatsApp or phone number, Telegram name and email you add on your contacts page, and which of them you share.

What's collected automatically

• Your IP address, browser and device, when you sign in and use the site, for security.
• When you sign up: your IP address, browser, time zone and the link or site that brought you here, so we can tell which sign-ups are real and where they come from.
• An approximate location from your IP address (city level), to show invites near you. We don't use your phone's GPS unless you tap "use my location".
• Which invites you open while signed in, and how often an invite is viewed.
• Cookies: one to keep you signed in, one for your language. No advertising cookies.

Who sees what

• Everyone, including visitors: open invites with your display name, age, city, main photo and note.
• The person whose invite you RSVP to: your RSVP, photos and profile details.
• Someone you accept: only the contacts you choose to send them. Nothing is shared before that, and you can take a contact back.
• Your birth date is never shown, only your age. Your email address is only shown if you choose to share it with someone you accept.

How we use it

• To run the site: show invites nearest first, pass on RSVPs and the contacts you choose to share.
• To keep it safe: every photo is checked, partly by an automated image model, for things like nudity, children or someone else's photo; flagged photos are hidden until a person looks. We may suspend accounts that break our terms.
• To message you: sign-in codes and account notices by email; RSVP updates and invites near you by email, and on LINE or Telegram if you connect them. You can turn updates off on your contacts page or with the link in each email.

Companies that process data for us

• Cloudflare: hosting of photos and share images, and protection of the site.
• Amazon Web Services: sending email.
• OpenRouter and the image model it routes to: the automatic photo check (set so they don't keep or train on your photos).
• Google, Facebook and LINE: if you sign in with them. LINE and Telegram: messages we send you there.
• Google Maps: when you pick a place for an invite.
• MaxMind: turning an IP address into an approximate city.

We also share information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

While your account is open. When you ask us to close it, we delete your profile, photos and contacts; we may keep records of suspensions and reports for safety.

Your rights

You can see and change most of your information on your profile and contacts pages. To get a copy of your data, correct something, or delete your account, email [email protected]. We follow Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

Age

My Thai Love is only for people 18 and over. We remove accounts of anyone younger.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
