Visa Exemption Scheme
If you are from one of the 64 approved countries, you can enter Thailand without a visa. You can stay for up to 30 days if you arrive through an international airport or land border checkpoint from a neighboring country.
Requirements for Visa Exemption
To qualify for the Visa Exemption Scheme, you must:
- Be from an approved country.
- Visit Thailand for tourism purposes only.
- Have a valid passport with at least 6 months validity.
- Provide a verifiable address in Thailand upon entry.
- Have a confirmed return ticket within 30 days.
- Show proof of funds (10,000 THB for single travelers, 20,000 THB for families).
- Present your flight ticket upon entry.
Additional Information
- Travelers entering by land or sea can enjoy visa-free travel twice per calendar year.
- Malaysians entering by land border have no limitations.
- Travelers from Korea, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, and Chile can stay for up to 90 days under the Tourist Visa Exemption Scheme.
Travel Insurance
Travelers are now required to be vaccinated or have completed an RT-PCR or Pro-ATK test before entering Thailand. Children under 18 must follow the same requirements as their parents. Travel insurance is recommended to cover medical emergencies, personal injury, flight delays, and lost luggage.
